Time-Lapse Photography

During the production of Bill's Big Pumpkins, four time lapse cameras, each with their own computer, were used to capture images. One image every minute over the course of 8 months resulted in over 650,000 images. The results speak for themselves, showcasing the growth of seeds and germination, garden overviews, vine growth, and pumpkin growth from flower to 1000 pounds.

A special, wireless network was used to communicate to the multiple cameras located across the multiple gardens. Special scripts ran nightly to aquire and archive images.

A special program was designed to sort through the massive number of files and fill gaps and produce videos at desired playback rates and durations.
